Below are all of the events we have had in recent years. Troop 408 enjoys going on campouts and other activities to bond with each other and nature. During campouts, they learn skills such as fire starting and first aid, and sign off requirement after requirement on their journey to Eagle. They learn to lead others and themselves, and do their duty to the country, God, the people around them, and themselves. They learn the core aspects of a good person during service projects, where they do good to the natural environment and their community. Overall, Troop 408 spends countless days each year with each other, fostering good relationships with fellow scouts, learning useful skills they can use in life, and most importantly, having fun and making happy memories.
Camp Hi-Sierra 2024

Scouts spent the week at Camp Hi Sierra going to merit badge classes, sleeping under the stars, and performing one of the best skits in the troop's history.
Sunset Beach 2024
June 2024
Another school year ends, and scouts return to Sunset Beach for a massive barbecue hosted by the adults, and an amazing time playing on the beach.
Coyote Lake 2024

Continuing the tradition from the previous year, scouts went back to Coyote Lake to enjoy an afternoon of fun and a cooking competition!
CASA Camporee 2023

Scouts had a competitive weekend at CASA Camporee, going to several competitions of volleyball, cooking, knot-tying and more, ultimately winning 2 patrol awards.
Angel Island Kayaking

Scouts spent the weekend kayaking and hiking around the Bay Area, before backpacking to Angel Island and spending the night.
Camp Wente Summer Camp

Scouts had a week of fun at Camp Wente, learning merit badges like kayaking or first aid, signing requirements, and having fun with friends!
Sunset Beach 2023

Scouts went to Sunset Beach, where they had a barbecue and played on the beach, before settling into their tents for the night.
District Camp-Ogre-Ree

Scouts spent two nights at this generic ogre themed camporee. They participated in competitions as a troop and patrol.
Scout-O-Rama 2023

Scouts used cup pong as their activity at History Park, in an effort to recruit scouts and have fun with other troops.
Coyote Lake Campout

Scouts hiked through muddy trails and had a cooking competition! The event was hosted by two young scouts.
CASA 2022

Troop 408 went to Camp Chesebrough for a weekend, and dominated in CASA Camporee! We won 1st overall.
Rafting 2022

The Troop went to Sacramento River to raft. They spent hours on the river, swimming and blasting water guns.
Sunset Beach 2022

The Annual tradition of Sunset Beach returned after 2 years of COVID, and scouts were able to enjoy the beach once again.
Pinnacles Campout 2022

Troop 408 hiked across mountains and through caves at Pinnacles National Park in sweltering heat, before settling in for the night.

Bearpaw is a snow camp from 2/25-2/27 at Camp Hi-Sierra, where we skied, built snow shelters, and tried to keep warm at night.
