Advancement Subcommittee (Jennifer Saye):
- We
have 3 scouts advance in the Feburary BOR:

Saye: Life
- Francis
Hoe: 2nd Class
- John
Ho: Scout
- Procedure
for advancement: All applications for advancement must follow successful
completion of scout master conference, not the other way around. Scout
should submit BOR application by the midnight of Tuesday, one week before
BOR.
Financial Subcommittee (Jenny Wang):
- Will
give a complete report after receiving the report from the previous
subcommittee chair.
- Sales
of scrip is on track.
Membership Subcommittee ( Flora Li for Emily Hung):
- Need
to recruit an additional member since one member might leave the
subcommittee for a short period.
- All
patrol leaders need to remind the scouts to inform the membership
subcommittee whenever they change email addresses. The best is not to
change email address unless it is really necessary.
Patrol Parents Report (Sharon Chung):
- One
concerns raised by the Dragon Patrol is that the participation level of
older scouts in meetings are lower than that of the young scouts. Lots of
discussion is around how to better format the meetings in order to make
them attractive to the older scouts.
- Another
subject being discusses is about how to improve the scout master
conference and let scout have more positive experience from the boy
scouts. It is suggested by the parent that ASMs and SM have periodical
consoling meetings with the scouts to review their plans and progresses,
to set up expectation, and to correct the problems early on.
Other Discussion:
- SCCC/BSA
fund raising (FOS, Tina Yu): Troop 408 will support the SCCC BSA fund
raising. Each family is due for $130. Please make the check payable to
SCCC BSA and give the check to Tina.
- We are
not going to have recruiting this year. However, we are accepting referral
from our own scouts. Please get the referral name and contact info to our
committee chair by the end of April. Mr. Hsu will have a new parents
orientation in May.
- Lost
and Found: Need a volunteer to be in charge of lost and found. Mr. Pan has
a stove and a large spoon for people to claim.
