We are a Boy Scout Troop chartered by the Association of Northern California Chinese Schools (ANCCS), based in Cupertino, California, the heart of Silicon Valley. Troop 408 has a total of 59 scouts split into five patrols: Dragons, Hawks, Moose, Sharks, and Wolves. The guiding ideals of Troop 408 are based on the Scout Oath, and Scout Law, as well as the Scout Motto and Slogan. If you would like to attend one of our troop meetings, and if you are interested in joining, twice a month we have a troop meeting which you are welcome to attend. You can go to the Join Us page here, and read the requirements to join Boy Scouts of America. If you are eligible, then come join us at a troop meeting the first and third Tuesday of every month, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. In summer, we will meet at Sedgwick Elementary, (19200 Phil Ln, Cupertino, CA 95014), and during the school year, we will meet at Cupertino High School (10100 Finch Ave, Cupertino, CA 95014). Troop 408 was founded in 2000. Throughout the years, around 25 Eagle Scouts have graduated from our troop.
Some of the events that Troop 408 attends or organizes include Rafting the Sacramento River, Snow Camping in the Sierra Mountains, Family Camp with Pack 408, District Camporee, and a relaxing Beach Campout at Sunset Beach. Every year, Troop 408 attends at least one week-long Summer Camp. In the past years, Troop 408 has attended Camp Hi-Sierra in the Sierra Nevada’s Camp Parsons in Seattle, Camp Emerald Bay on Catalina Island, etc.
Troop 408 prides itself in teaching new Scouts and following the Scout Law, Scout Oath, Scout Motto, Scout Slogan, and Outdoor Code.
